Centre for Journalism students and graduates are once again leading the way for strong orignal journalism nationally, after it was announced today that three students and recent grads have made the the Student Publication Association's national awards shortlist.

Jayna Rana, a current MA in Multimedia Journalism, has been shortlisted for news story of the year and 2014 BA graduates Matt Charles and Jem Collins made the list for best feature and outstanding commitment respectively.

The trio fought off hundreds of other applications from across the country and the final decision by industry judges will be announced the Student Publication Association's national conference from April 11 - 12 in Southampton.
