A film based on Scotland’s biggest UFO incident is to start filming in September 2013. The writer of the film, Malcolm Robinson, is currently preparing A70 which will hit cinemas across the UK in 2014.
The film is based on a true story- the ‘A70 incident’ in which two men claimed they were abducted from their car on the A70 road in West Lothian in 1992.
Billy Boyd, who played Pippin in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, will be playing one of the main characters, Colin Wright, whilst Paul McGillion, who has appeared in the likes of Star Trek, Stargate: Atlantis, 24 and Supernatural, will be playing the other main character, Garry Wood.

Malcolm Robinson, who is a paranormal investigator and runs Strange Phenomena Investigations (SPI), claims to have put Colin Wright and Garry Wood under hypnosis to reach the whole truth, before writing of their story in one of his four books, which led to the scripted version for filming. They came to Robinson in 1992 after their abduction and the film will tell their version of events, as well as their struggles to recover.
