Anyone who reads the Comment is Free section of the Guardian website will know that the comments are normally a scathing attack on everything the author of an article has said. So I thought I'd point out this article, which has been warmly received by the CiF community, about the history of the Hubble telescope and our knowledge of the universe.

It's a lovely piece. As Oscar Wilde said, "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
