I am not an incredibly impulsive person, or at least I never used to be. When I was in high school, I would plan out my essays in advance, I would schedule dinner plans at least a week away so it wouldn’t be difficult to adjust, and I would always double-check with friends to make sure we had everything squared away for a party.
The one most important lesson I have learned since becoming an adult is that we are all just children with responsibilities.
Not in the sense that we run around playing in an imaginative world and take the time out of our day to color and have nap time, but in a way that suggests we only want to have fun too.
I love being busy and having responsibilities that keep me in check, but I also love to have a good time and forget all about said responsibility.
I come from an American culture that is very different from the British culture. It makes learning the new lifestyle a little exciting and a little scary at the same time. I grew up in Illinois, and the culture and way of life in Britain is much different than where I'm from.
