Year 2s - please don't forget you have a mid-term NCTJ law test this Friday. Ensure you've read through all notes and relevant McNae chapters from this term. We will be doing the test - and marking it - during the morning session. **MAs - don't panic. Your test will be the following week**
All students re-sitting NCTJ law exams on June 10th please note - there are two revision sessions on Tuesday June 2nd. Both are in Room M1-22 and are open to all students who're re-sitting regardless of Year group. From 1.30pm - 3pm the session is for Essential Media Law re-sitters and from 3.30pm - 5pm it's for Court Reporting people.
Well done to the many Year 2 and MA students who passed last month's NCTJ law exams. Special mention to the Year 2 group who took Court Reporting. Four Grade As and four Grade Bs was was an excellent total.
If you're studying History of Journalism - or even if you're not - try to watch "Gallipoli - when Murdoch went to war" on iplayer. It's a docudrama which went out on BBC2 last Saturday night to coincide with Anzac Day. Fascinating insight into Rupert's father and the part he played in exposing the horrors of the ill-fated 1915 Gallipoli campaign. Was he a slightly slippery character......or not?
Please note that tomorrow's NCTJ Court Reporting sessions WILL be going ahead - usual times, usual places, Please make every effort to come as this is your final chance before next week's exam. I know several of you can't make it due to other exams clashing - I will e-mail test-yourself papers to you tomorrow.
