A piece in today's Observer looks at the effect of the credit crunch on our generation - 'Generation Y' - and how much we care about it. The answer based on the students they interviewed?

Well spotted Alan. I enjoyed that piece too. It reminds me of a slogan that was popular among politically active undergraduates when I was at university: "Just because you're not interested in politics, don't imagine politics isn't interested in you." Just replace the word 'politics' with 'economics'.....   

Nice article. Makes me think that not only are we a bunch of selfish individuals, but that we really have no wider knowledge of anything that could effect us.
