The bank holiday weekend is coming soon and in Rochester that means only one thing - the return of the annual Sweeps Festival.Sweeps festival is a celebration of traditional holiday of chimney sweeps which happens on May 1 each year.
Nowadays, Sweeps Festival in Rochester is celebrated as the biggest of it’s kind in Kent. Basically, It's a mix of music, dancing and entertainment with more than 60 Morris sides and entertainers celebrating throughout the three-day festival.
