It’s a hat trick! Isabel scoops Student Project of the Year

Congratulations to Isabel Eidhamar for scooping Student Project of the Year at the NCTJ’s Awards for Excellence last night.

It is the third year in a row that the award has gone to a Centre for Journalism student, with Isabel following Boglarka Kosztolanyi and Michael Haffenden.

Isabel, who graduated in July 2019, won for her multimedia investigation into the Cyprus peace process. Judges hailed her moving treatment, which told the story from both sides of the country’s divide.

Former MA student Olly Kemp was nominated in a new category for Community Reporters and CfJ lecturer Laura Garcia was nominated for her role at PressPad – a scheme which finds affordable accommodation for young journalists.

Congratulations to all.
