Huge congratulations to MA multimedia journalism student Laura Trussell, who last night attended The Guardian’s Hugo Young Awards as one of the nominees.
The prestigious award, designed to honour one of the greats of Guardian journalism, is designed to encourage “fresh voices, new perspectives and good writing which, now more than ever, are essential to the future of quality, independent political journalism”.
Laura’s piece, ‘The Conservatives shouldn’t underestimate the power of the youth vote if they want to win in 2022’ was shortlisted for being amonst the most topical, thoughtful and welll-researched entries.
