As some of you may know I am back at the Kent Messenger for a while and today met someone very cool.

Today I was asked to go do a video in Maidstone town centre where Kent Police Chief Constable Mike Fuller was walking around “on the beat” with local cops.

You may remember him as a potential candidate for the post of Met Comissioner after Sir Ian Blair was ousted.

However, I did not know I would be lucky enough to interview him personally, until I cheekily asked the press officer if it would be possible and bingo! There will be a very basic video of him walking through Maidstone, not even close to a proper news piece though, and probably an accompanying article on Kent Online.

It was very scary going out on my own but hopefully I didn’t do too badly!

I’m off to Maidstone Crown Court tomorrow, does anyone remember what things you aren’t allowed to report from there? My memory lets me down…
