The Frontline Club is discussing Reporting Conflict this Wednesday at 7.00pm.

This is a great opportunity to network, learn tricks of the trade and see real journalism in action.

Sara Malm and I are heading up there, tickets are £8 for students so if you fancy coming along give one of us a shout!

I know a few others are going as well from my elective module and would really encourage people to go.

This is a good line up. Inigo Gilmore will share from the perspective of the self shooting independent TV reporter: he does lots of good work, recently from Haiti. Listen to what Vin Ray has to say. His Television News Handbook -- in the library -- is a fantastic resource.

The club is friendly. It is a great night out. Have fun.

The Frontline Club is an excellent place to meet working journalists, make contacts and hear debates. I encourage all of you to become familiar with it. It has recently been controversial for offering safe-haven to Julian Assange. I think that has turned out to be a mistake, but it does not change the reality that the club is an excellent and friendly venue.
