Congratulations to Centre for Journalism graduate Victoria Polley who has just become the first female presenter of the county cricket programme Around The Wicket at BBC Essex.
Victoria has been a sports reporter for the BBC since she was 17, and she regularly returned home to do shifts during her three years at the Centre for Journalism.
Her new role is a career landmark, in a summer which has been defined by the regular appearance of female pundits and commentators in coverage of the FIFA World Cup.
